Emily Frantz: A Life in Music
Emily Frantz is a classically trained violinist, composer, and music educator in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has been playing the violin since age four and has been a professional musician for over 15 years. Emily has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in the United States, Europe, and Asia, and her music has been featured on NPR, BBC Radio, and WQXR. As a composer, Emily has written for orchestras, chamber ensemble, solo instruments, and voices. The San Francisco Symphony, the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, the American Composers Orchestra, and the New York City Opera have performed her music. Emily is also an active music educator and has taught at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, the Juilliard School, and the Manhattan School of Music.

She draws on various influences, from Bach to Bartok, and beautiful melodies, lush harmonies, and a deep understanding of the violin characterize her compositions. Emily Frantz is a classically trained pianist who has played the piano since childhood. Emily has been featured as a soloist with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. Emily has released two albums of solo piano music, “First Impressions” and “Nocturnes & Etudes.” She is working on her third album, featuring her compositions.
Emily graduated from the Juilliard School and received her Bachelor of Music degree. She is pursuing her Master of Music at the Manhattan School of Music.

Born and raised in North Carolina, Emily has been making music her whole life. She started playing the violin when she was just four years old, and by the time she was a teenager, she was already an accomplished fiddler. She began writing her songs and performing them at local venues, and it wasn’t long before she caught the attention of some major music industry players.
In 2018, Emily signed a record deal with Warner Music Nashville. She released her debut single, “Workin’ on Whiskey,” in 2019, and it quickly climbed the country radio charts. Her follow-up single, “Different,” was released in 2020 and is already a fan favorite.
